At Rainbow Hands Respite & Childcare Services, we provide flexible, personalised support for children and young people aged 0–17 years with SEND, disabilities, complex needs and additional support requirements.

Every child is unique, which is why all support is tailored to the individual child and their family's needs.

Specialist SEND Childcare

We provide specialist childcare for children and young people who may require additional support beyond traditional childcare settings.

Support is tailored to each child's needs and may take place in your home, my home, or within the community.

We have experience supporting children and young people with:

  • Autism

  • ADHD

  • Learning disabilities

  • Communication difficulties

  • Sensory differences

  • Complex medical needs

  • Physical disabilities

  • Anxiety and emotional regulation needs

Our focus is on creating a safe, supportive environment where children can feel comfortable, understood and able to thrive.

 

Respite and Short Breaks(no overnight service)

Caring for a child with additional needs can be rewarding, but it can also be demanding.

Our respite service provides families with the opportunity to take a break, attend appointments, spend time with siblings, work, or simply recharge knowing their child is being supported by someone who understands their needs.

Respite can be provided on a regular basis or as occasional support depending on your family's circumstances.

Community-Based Support

Many children benefit from opportunities to access the community in a safe and supportive way.

Support may include:

  • Trips to parks and attractions

  • Shopping trips

  • Community activities

  • Developing confidence outside the home

  • Practising independence skills

  • Building social confidence

All activities are tailored to the child's interests, abilities and individual goals. 

Direct payments accepted(top up may be required)

 

Alternative Provision & EOTAS Support

Rainbow Hands provides personalised Alternative Provision and EOTAS support for children and young people who are unable to access traditional education or require a different approach.

Support focuses on:

  • Building trust and engagement

  • Emotional regulation

  • Communication and confidence

  • Life skills and independence

  • Community participation

  • Working towards individual outcomes

Parent Support and SEND Guidance

Navigating SEND services can feel overwhelming at times.

Drawing on both professional experience and specialist SEND training, we can offer support with:

  • Understanding SEND processes

  • EHCP reviews

  • Annual review preparation

  • Professional meetings

  • SEND signposting

  • Understanding available support and services

Our aim is to help families feel informed, supported and confident when making decisions for their child.
