Our Story
Rainbow Hands Respite and Childcare was created through both personal and professional experience.
My son, Aiden, has autism, ADHD, PDA, and learning difficulties, and my brother has profound learning and physical disabilities. Growing alongside them has taught me patience, resilience, and the importance of creating environments where every individual feels safe, valued, and included.
These experiences have also made me an advocate. I have spent years speaking up for my son, my brother, and other families, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights respected. Advocacy for me means more than securing services — it’s about recognising every child as an individual with strengths, needs, and potential.
I have supported children and young people in SEN schools, on EOTAS programmes, and through community-based outreach, adapting care to suit each child. To underpin my work, I hold Level 3 training in Autism, Paediatric First Aid, and Behaviour Management, alongside safeguarding Level 3(DSL) and SEND-related qualifications.
Rainbow Hands is more than childcare — it’s a safe, nurturing service where children are celebrated, parents can take a breath, and families feel supported by someone who truly understands and stands beside them.
